1.The USA is the world's most powerful country - EASILY.
2. 20% of Israeli GDP comes from US aid - directly.
3. ANY economy, anywhere in the world, large or small, agrarian or industrial, which took a 20% year-on-year hit would immediately collapse into prolonged and severe recession.
4. Israel knows this.
5. so does the USA
6. the whole reason why this threat has NOT been used by any US Prez, is because the Jewish lobby in the US is one of the most powerful there is, as directed by AIPAC and the UJA. It is CERTAINLY much, much more powerful than any arab one.
7. This is because american jewry are, and always have been, politically driven and very well organised.
8. they - in general, and taken as a whole - have also become affluent over time.
