We Love Battlestar Galactica But.. (may contain spoilers)...

i felt really let down, the best thing about BSG was how every episode mattered. for me this one didn't- who cares about boxing and character development when the future of the human race is under threat

that episode was showing the breaks that the crew needed to take - it looked more at human relationships in the crew and I found it quite interesting - especially the way they structured it. It was cheesy as fuck though but the whole thing's been cheesy as fuck all the way through.

ooooh - which ones do you hate?

I thought Apollo and Starbuck were both really unsympathetic characters for most of S3.It was made worse by the likeability of their respective Significant Others (especially Dualla, mmmm).

FWIW I liked the boxing episode too, mainly for the Roslin/Adama scenes.

No it was shite, all the flashbacky relationship rubbish, more cylons please.

Which episode is Fat Apollo in?

The first half of season 3. Then he starts going to the gym again and gets fit from one episode to the next.

Well, OK. How come they're listening to Clannad in a society that advanced, then?

It wasn't an ENTIRELY serious point

Are you saying an advanced race could not enjoy Clannad?

Maybe clannad are the key to the whole series. Is number 5 enya or bob dylan?

Dualla!!! Dualla!! She's so BORING!

I like the mean ones  I'd do Starbuck's fella though, he was lovely.

*waits on sofa for S4*

:(

I avoided all the BSG threads until I'd watched it all. I finished season three last night.

The mini-series was great, season one was pretty much flawless, season two was fantastic, but season three...

It started so well, but after the first four episodes it went down hill pretty quick. Too much angsty bullshit, mystical crap and psycho-babble. And most importantly NOT ENOUGH CYLONS. I don't think I saw a single Cylon Raider in the second half of the series until right at the end of the last episode. I watched one after another thinking 'something's got to happen this time', but all there was was 'Oh I love her, but I'm married to her' and 'Oh I miss my wife'. I was shouting at the telly 'where's the fucking Cylons?!'. I cheered when the base ships finally turned up at the end. Battlestar Galactica without Cylons is like The Sopranos without gangsters or The Wire without a case to crack.

Anyway, when's season 4 out? I WANT!

You need to see the TV movie, Razor, as well. It's great.

razor's ok, but not dynamite. And yes, about 1/2 2/3 of S3 can be chopped quite safely
