Wayne Rooney = class

they were abysmal second half. absolutely shocking.

their tactics were all wrong which allowed the mancs to totally outplay them.

their midfield was all over the place and allowed fletcher to look like a decent player. carrick had a awful game, but the milan midfield was so fucking useless they could not take advantage and they were run over.

I think we need to know which team you support. That really wasn't my impression of the game. they did pretty well in the first half. what changed apart from gattuso going off?

tyldsley was at his very very worst, only just bearable at 1-1 and 1-2 but otherwise fucking hell the man was high as a kite and talking absolute shite.

ah see, now that I agree with that.

milan were completely out classed in the 2nd half. as soon as gattuso had to go off they lost it. kaka was good but didnt do much apart from the 2 great goals. rooneys finish was amazing

You've got to love Clive....he's graduated from 'that night in Barcelona'

to the equally disturbing 'that semi-final against Juventus'

My god, the man might as well own up now, he's incapable of neutrality

milan just lost pace in the 2nd half, and thats never something you can do against man u.

a man u/chelski final will be shit

for me, theres no good result from that game.

though id rather man u get it than the russians

as someone else said, anyone but chelski

You don't think Ferguson's tactics and Utd's performance played a part in that?

Tactics didn't really change imo. Just had a lot more space in the middle when Gattuso went off after an hour. Maldini not being on the pitch in the second half definitely helped Utd too.

It's interesting that so much was made of Utd's patched up defence before the game and yet the back four was not weak - apart from getting torn apart by Kaka twice. Milan are essentially a team of has beens (average age over 30) and with 2 of their most influential players off the field, the last half hour was all Utd's.

I'm taking nothing away from Utd, it was a great game and they deserved the win. I think they will need to score at least 2 in the San Siro to go through. 1-0, 2-0 or better would have been optimum last night.

as a Man United fan it pains me to have to point out that Liverpool are by no means out of it!

Infact i'll be quietly cheering them on against the Chelski scum, if only as an insurance policy on protecting the treble. The very idea of the Chelski winning four trophies playing football as dull as they do makes me feel ill, so ill i'd rather see the scouse scum put a sixth star on their scummy shirts.

Well I reckon if Vidic, Ferdinand and Neville had been on Kaka would have definately not have scored his second and his first would have been a hell of a lot less likely.

They're all scum apart from your team, yes?

That was all your own work, pal, not me, not that it's got anything remotely to do with this thread whatsoever.

Now, who else are you going to call 'scum' today? There must be millions more football fans you can insult.

yeah cos ireland isn't full of smug Liverpool fans?

Still i'd rather protect the treble than worry about Liverpool having another star.

own work my arse, even crispy was laughing at you.

I'd say you were scummy but to be honest it would be granting you too much edge when infact your just a petty lil man.

CAREFREE! WHERE-EVER YOU MAY BE......

Just thought this thread needed a bit of counterbalance! I can't wait for tonight...

(Well done last night United, great game)

Indeed. Do you really think most Manchester United fans would rather see Liverpool win and forever have bragging rights? Not a chance.

5 times was bad enough, a sixth time and against their fiercest rivals would be unbearable.

Do you expect anything like the same amount of exciting football?

Not particularly, especially on the basis of our last CL meets. Four games - no goals. :p However, it's my team so I will be excited enough come kick-off time and it's going to be a great atmosphere (regrettably, for a change) at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Your endless personal attacks are getting rather boring now.

I've been to Old Trafford to watch Man Utd about thirty times more than their superfan revol. And Man Utd aren't even my team!!

I can't see any real Man Utd fans wanting Liverpool to notch up yet another trophy. As for me, I'd definitely prefer them to win over Chel$ki.

I have taken all this into consideration but the simple fact in my mind is that Man Utd are still the only English team to have done the treble, that is unique and the dippers can't touch it, whilst they've already been banging on about their 5 for years anyway.

well you are considerably older, richer and closer so it's not that suprising but sure if you want to engage the issue.

OK, well, I think you'd be in the significant minority.

well it's a tough choice but I still think the treble nets top bragging rights and to lose that to a team playing football like Chelsea would be worse than watching Rafa Binhoker's boys jam another one.

Anyway even if they beat Chelsea it just means John O'Shea scoring the winner in Athens will be even sweeter.

Revol, just acknowledging that you think we play awful football in case you're bored of writing it in every post.

it was relevant to the point, seriously it would be gutting to lose our treble crown to youse.

everything i fucken despise in out-of-town united/liverpool fans right fucken there

Shut up you tedious cunts - matchday atmosphere means getting a good seat by the telly, you are without doubt the biggest fucken pain in the arse out of any group of people ever - with your regurgitated sky sports endorsed opinion and your replica shirt.

Hey girls - can you name the British clubs who have won a European trophy this century? I'll give you a clue, there's 4 of them.

1999 seems a long time ago now. It's better to make history than to be it. :p

I honestly think that Liverpool beating United in the Champions League final would be the mother of all bragging rights.

Certainly more than a treble considering that one year you considered yourselves too big to be playing in the FA Cup.
