Saturday. Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire. It was a bright morning, just clouding over, with a stiff south westerly breeze. The waves were pretty big, but no surfers were in evidence (probably all up at Newgale).
Half an hour up the road. In fact, if I'm popping over to see friends/associates in Solva (also beautiful, but no surfing), I HAVE to drive down to Newgale beach, along it, then back up the other side. It's amazing in even slightly crappy weather.
Living out here has its downsides, but that - plus the hedgecropping - are definite plusses.
Yep I love watching the waves...I spent 3 weeks in Goa over Xmas/New Year period and without fail was on the beach for sunset with my cocktail each day. Rented a few properties that were right on the beach too......
It was rather parky. Beautiful beach though - I've never been to Norfolk before and didn't realise the beaches were such high quality. Most of my previous English beach experiences have been with shitty mudflat beaches like Cleethorpes, so it was a pleasant surprise.
Sitting watching them right now, nice spring sunset & a lovely golden moon rising over the tanker I posted earlier, which is cleaning its tanks by the look of it & listing oddly.
