Watch NASA bomb the moon live, on the 9th of october.

3800mph - 1 mile per *second*

Wow.

I loved the bit when they switched to front cameras.

NASAgeek 1 - Wow, that moon is REALLY big
NASAgeek2 - Its only gonna get bigger.

Were you being subtly witty in your use of the word 'lunatic', it being related to some people being a bit more mental during full moon, which is where the word comes from?

I was going to put "lunatick" but I couldn't be bothered to edit it (WAY too busy!!) Have finnished now though

I can't have the sound on because I'm at work.

What's happening? What am I looking at? Is it a camera fitted to the nose of a bomb heading for the moon?

Cunts. My IT dept have just informed me that they won't let me stream it to my desktop. Grrr.

I hope this is available later when I'm at home...

It's not a bomb.

Definition of bomb:

an explosive device fused to explode under specific conditions

These are kinetic impacts, not bombs.

this is going to be a massive disappointment isnt it? :D

Was that it? You'd think they'd have picked somewhere that was going to be light. :( Bloody rubbish camera too, i got a web cam does better than that.

And surely there's stuff hitting the surface of the moon all the time we could study.

Apart from that, riveting stuff :)

Quite a few last minute requests from "Science" to change settings.

"Flight" sound tetchy: "November? Please confirm!"

now if there is life on the moon on other planet, Would they would think they under attack. :hmm:
