Well to be fair, I don't actually go anywhere near the dishwasher. I only got it to make the maid's life easier - so calling me scum is a bit harsh. I could let her do it by hand if I was that bad.
maid?!?!?!?!?!

I despair.

What is urban coming to.....

Do you dictate your posts to the butler to avoid chipping your manicured nails on the keyboard????

:p

Just to check as you can never tell on the internet, you do know I was only joking don't you? :)

Next evening for me. I just cannot be arsed to do more work after a hard day at work and eating a big tea.

I don't do it Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday though - that's my daughter's job to earn her pocket money :)

1) Doesn't everyone have staff these days?
2) It is possible that the poster might have been having tea, and not dinner. Tea is a perfectly acceptable meal between lunch and dinner.

How many meals a day do you people eat?!?!?!?!?!

I'm amazed you're able to put the fork down long enough to post on urban!!!

I've taken Quentin Crisp's principles of home management to the next level - which is fine in winter, but the wildlife gets airborne this time of year :p

Canned food is brilliant - I always try to eat things out of them afterwards.
Pity you can't stick 'em in the microwave though :(

I've just discovered Sharwood's "noodle boxes" and chopsticks

Cockroaches here, I dare not leave any food out for the little fuckers, next thing they will take over my appartment

When I lived in Korea I had the lovely gmarthews to care about, so quite regularly. But back here, well my dad has gone on holiday so I guess I'll clean the day before he gets back.:)

I find its best to do the washing up just after you have to eat your cornflakes out of a soup bowl with a ladle.

you can tell your a mate of Bees' :p :D

i have never even fathomed not doing the washing up immediately after eating.

this is the very single thing i never procrastinate over.

The following evening, usually when I get back from work.

Can rarely be arsed once I've eaten in the evening (although I usually eat quite late, 9:30 - 10:00), and I'd much rather have an extra 10 minutes in bed in the morning, so the following evening it is.

If I'm cooking, I do as much as I can as I go along, so there's rarely more than a couple of plates and pans left to do.

Have you ever tried adding milk (or soya cream) to the cornflakes (or porridge oats) in the packet ? :D

next evening, usually. it's FAR too much effort to move from the sofa after eating.

i try to wash up as much as poss during cooking though :)
