OK great minds of suburban I have a question

when do you do your washing up? Same night, next day, whenever you've run out of pots?

:D

*there may or may not have been a discussion about this in Chez AquaBees this weekend :D :o

I do it the same night, or whilst cooking. It's not like I can't sleep if it's not done, it's just a lot easier and tidier if it's done ASAP.

Should have been multiple choice

:p

Mainly same night, but then again, sometimes can't be arsed.

Same as Chris, we/I try to wash up as we go along, and wash up when we've eaten. I hate coming down to a messy sink in the morning.

I have a dishwasher so tend to be slack these days n stick dirty plates in there... usually tho I wash up after the meal or at least I rinse the plates!

Good grief, I'm such a scummy madam compared to you lot.

I'm normally in the house on my own all week, and tend to leave the washing up till the end of the week when I attack it all at once (with some tunes playing to make it bearable), so everything is nice and tidy when the fella comes back for the weekend.

Neither have the time nor inclination to do it on the same day.

I don't tend to leave stuff in the sink to fester - that's minging.

I tend to wash stuff straight away and just leave it to dry in the drainer thingy.

The one exception to this is post heavy nights out, when I'm veging around the flat getting stoned and watching Danger Mouse DVDs. Then I can't be arsed to wash anything and usually end up with a pile of minging crockery to sort out on Monday morning - just as the comedown is kicking in....

How much fucking mess do you make the day after a heavy one? weirdo...

surely you aint using several plates etc... wtf do you be doing? weirdo x 2...

i can honestly say i have someone else who does it for me (actually two people) and i havent done any washing up for 8 months.

crap isnt it :(

When I can be arsed:

But usually simple...pots and pans get washed up after the meal.
cups and side plates can be left neatly in a corner somewhere until I can be arsed. :)

Well, compared to many people I'm sure the mess would seem rather insignificant...

But I don't usually leave much mess at all, so to me it's a bigger deal.

See - makes perfect sense.

A bit like Chris: while I'm cooking and then after we eat, on the same night, occasionally I'll leave if I'm very tired, and wash it the next evening...

Almost always do it the same night. Even when I really cant be bothered, the thought of coming down to a big stack of dirty dishes in the morning is enough to make me do them.

Just put it in the machine, or wait for the Portugeuse girl to do it, after all that's what she is paid for.

Well to be fair, I don't actually go anywhere near the dishwasher. I only got it to make the maid's life easier - so calling me scum is a bit harsh. I could let her do it by hand if I was that bad.
