Wasabi Peanuts!!

I think wasabi peas are better but I quite like the crunchy coated wasabi peanuts (not quite the same thing. like nobby's nuts but wasabi).

I think I've only ever had the crunchy coated peanuts. Never seen any 'plainer' versions.

The peas are too hard for immediate wasabi rush satisfaction.

I'd only thought they were available in tiny little packets, but now...

12 tins for £20! Good grief, Charlie Brown - [gets out credit card and bulk orders]

Waits for thread to be moved swiftly by mods to drugs forum

Massive tins are only £1 at Wing Yip.

Many a time, they're cheaply and easily available compared to the peanuts. Peas are easier to get than nuts it seems.
:(

I'll eat both, but just don't like the peas as much. I can scoff more peanuts, more easily, guaranteeing more of a healthy wasabi glow. Something about the harder texture just doesn't make them as compelled to eat them - the nuts go down much quicker- a vital consideration in the snackfood stakes.

Moderation and the word 'snack' shouldn't go together.

Whitworths have started dabbling in this area of snackology.

But I haven't found their wasabi beans since last "summer" in north Cornwall.

(one suggestion re wasabi peas ... don't read the ingredients list )

Where are they? I walked around for ages and only came out with a disappointing, but giant* bag of wasabi peas.

*Come to think of it, this could be why I'm more jaded by Wasabi peas. I ate them by the bowlful for days.

I got mine from the Croydon one.

They are not in the Japanese section because they are not Japanese made. They are in huge green tins at the far end of an isle, middle back.

Ah, that's where I went wrong. LQ and I paced the Japanese isle for a an undue length of time before giving up, one of us even making a last desperate check whist waiting at the check out. We resorted to a last minute purchase of wasabi peas instead - we failed in our supermarket sweep challenge.
:(

I'll look out with your new info in mind next time.

Fecking pea freaks corrupting an honest peanut thread.

Peas, in a snack context, are best in bombay mix. Any fule knows that.

To quote Chris Morris: "You're wrong, and you're a grotesquely ugly freak".

Wasabi peas ftw. These Johnny-Come-Lately wasabi peanuts are history's greatest monsters.

I spent all week at work last week scoffing wasabi peanuts , mixed with wasabi mini rice cakes, the GODZILLA of snacks!

Just spotted Wasabi Peanuts in Wing Tai as well. £1.20 for a 150ish grammes.

Typically I had to spend the last of my money on sensible food.
