Walking tour of the City for teenage boys

Great suggestion as that's where there are some plaques commemorating people who have died saving others, which is will tie in with the theme of the day - it's a PSHCE day.
You might even be able to link it with Britsh Values and get some extra points
Seriously I think it's a really interesting place with some touching tales of everyday folk!!

Agree about postmans park....wonderful spot and handy to get the sarnies out. The unsung hero being
recognised. The plaques and stories are so human....people jumping off bridges to help friends....pantomime dames going up in a cloud of smoke etc..and massive goldfish at the entrance pond.

Leadenhall Market. Used in Harry Potter (amongst other films), and is close to the lloyds building, cheesegrater, gherkin etc. RC Churches, you'll struggle.... for all of the churches that are in the city, theres only one RC church, i believe thats on liverpool Street. Is there anything good on at the barbican galleries (Curve) at the moment?

If you're going to postman's park it would be rude not to drop in on the golden boy of pye corner, which provides for sniggering opportunities at cock lane.

We went to the Roman Ampitheatre under the Guildhall the other day which is free and such a surprise. Also at the moment they have the best preserved Magna Carta displayed (British Values again !!).

The Bank of England Museum is also good they can lift a gold bar.

Thr ruined church of st dunstan's near tower of london suprised me...never had a clue it was there and must have driven past it hundreds of times. Fantastic view through one of the bombed arched windows to the Shard ...juxtaposing and all that mularkey.

8 min walk from monument ya lazy bastard.
Across the river. It's not me being lazy.
And anyway I don't want them getting ideas and thinking it might be a grand idea to join the Navy.
They shall learn of our empire's bloody history instead and they will like it.
