Walking tour of the City for teenage boys

This looks ace. You could also include a bit of Brick Lane graffiti and then wander off down to Cable St for the story & drama of the murial. Isn't the ripper museum down there too. One to laugh at and avoid.
Yep just vaguely point at the furthest end of Cable Street and say there's a grim little museum down there nowhere near anything exciting and with nothing exciting in it, and nowhere near a station. Unlike here, by the mural, where we'll just spend a few minutes talking about the battle of Cable Street before hopping on Shadwell Overground or DLR

The tourists seem most interested by Lloyd's and the Gerkhin. One walk up Leadenhall and you could do those, Leadenhall Market and the Cheesegrater all at once.

I'm not sure. The might be just outside. Only just though.
It's quite a walk from the RCJ to some of the other stuff being mentioned. OU, best advised to pick one or the other unless you are happy to take a bus on your walking tour.

I'm definitely going to do the Tower Of London for the gore and stories about ghoslty bears, and Postman's Park. St Ethelberga too. So RCJ would be too far away.

The royal courts of justice aren't in the city are they?
Too far out I think- beyond St. Paul's.i'd probably show them south sea house, the royal Africa company and possibly the guildhall. Ooh, and lloyds. That builds a story of the slave trade and is all within a short walk of each other. You could then walk from lloyds to leadenhall rather than going as far as Smithfield- still have the meat hook racks- then past the beavis marks synagogue to talk about how Jewish London and other nationalities have been and gone and on to monument

Edit/ west India company is on cornhill too. And short wiggle down old Jewry. If you do a bit of research on street names there are some great stories
