I have Brashers and they are great. They didnt need breaking in, they are brown so I can wear them with anything really, they are waterproof and solid....I really recommend them. I also have hard walking boots made by strong German hands 
but they are hardcore whereas Brashers are a bit softer and lighter.
You could go up to Covent Garden for a load of hiking shops, oddly enough. But there are a good 7 or 8 decent ones up there.
