is this a works machine ie is it at all locked down (possibly not if you got a virus on there) but if it is then it'll be fess up time to your it dept tbh as resetting it on the machine won't then go to the AD (active directory) on the system at your work.

tbh i can't say there'd be a way that it would default to safe mode for boot up
