Virgin cutting off p2p filesharers

I had a polite letter asking me not to download between 9am and 9pm. When I checked my usage, I had down/uploaded 1Tb in the previous month.
Jesus.

Even if you only downloaded hi-def 1080p movies (8GB a pop), 1 TB is over 120 movies in a month. There's no way you can ever watch everything you get if you download this much. It seems to me that the very act of downloading becomes and end in itself for some people.

uPNP does the whole thing for you. I haven't fucked about with a port forward since enabling upnp on my client and my router.

uPNP runs really badly on routers with virgin firmware. It never work for me on my virgin provided DIR 615, and I had problems with slow uploads and xbox and torrent dropouts all the time.

Since I flash it with dd-wrt firmware uPNP works perfectly, uploads are (literally) 200 times faster, I dont get torrent dropouts, and xbox live runs brilliantly.
