Victoria line early closing (Mon-Thurs, Feb-Nov 2008)

depends on the distance i guess.

so if brixton to victoria takes 10 mins - minus 8% - it will be 9.2mins!!! that's not even a whole minute!

:eek::eek::eek:

I can have an extra "not even a whole minute" lay-in every morning

Brixton to Walthamstow currently takes around 35 minutes

But seeing as how a train will come every 1m50 compared to every 2m10 as they do now, you could save another 20 seconds!

Its an increase in capacity and reliability that's important here anyway.

You mean I may get a FULL one minute extra to have a lay-in?

Can't wait :D

I can honestly say that in 2 years, this has never inconvenienced me :D
You might be alright Jack, but it's certainly inconvenienced some bars, clubs, gigs and businesses, and it's inconvenienced me when I've been coming back from a night out too.

I was taking the piss out of myself, not saying *I'm alright jack*.

Wrong side of bed ? ;)

According to that article, leaving passengers with massively increased journey times at night is just a "slight inconvenience."

Like fuck it is.

I lost about 20% of my Thursday night crowd at JAMM when this fucking work started, and I've heard that it's hitting quite a few other promoters/bars/gigs too - and then there's the extra hassle for people working nights.

i rarely use the tube, but now the footy season has started again i expect this will do me in, especially after midweek games. is it right they dont run a replacement bus service after the lines shuts at 10.30pm?

its definitely happening at least for another year. mate of mine works for tfl...

typical that they announce this as news, when they already have it planned in.

I just walk from Stockwell or North Clapham - not too inconvenient, though if I was a lass on my own, I might have a different opinion
