Are you a lawyer?

I could never work in law to be honest, I don't believe in it, teaching is depressing enough![]()

You don't believe in the law?
It's just a system of rules, designed to smooth relations between people in society, and to keep us from the worst excesses, like the blood feud.
It gets a bit carried away with itself at times, is all.
p.s. I'm having a real 'oldies night'.
It's got kazoos.![]()
and the fact that Chavez is still selling oil to the US
What if your bank failed and you lost any savings you had? What about if your employer or customers couldn't get credit and ceased trading, putting you out of work? What if your government had to cut back on spending - meaning less public services of all kinds - and had to put up taxes? All of these would impact on you. I can't think of anyone at all who would be immune, unless they lived self-sufficiently in a log cabin way out in the wilderness.I remember a recession in the eighties. Was there one in the nineties, too? For the most part, these cycles haven't really affected me. For one thing, I don't own real estate, so it's not like my net worth is about to evaporate in the mortgage crisis. I don't use credit, so not having it available, doesn't bother me that much.

Maybe you do live in a log cabin somewhere, growing and hunting your own food?
