As a consequence of comments on here, I went to the Jamm yesterday to try out the nut roast. We were the only punters in there, and they hadn't started serving the roast (astonishing to think that 1:30pm was too early for lunch, but it was!), and neither of us had been there before, but we persevered, and read our papers whilst waiting for the meal.
When it (eventually) came, it was fabulous. Genuinely home made, not only the nut roast, but clearly the vegetables, too. Not a frozen spud in sight! It's such a shame that the pub/venue is not the sort of place where I would want to take my parents!
But what the hell. I would go there again on a Sunday, so long as I wasn't too hungry on arrival!
