vegetarian black pudding

my ex girlfriend left some black puddings in the freezer of a house she moved out of - a few vegans moved in, who several months down the line complemented her on the quality of her veggie sausages...

to make black pud for your brekkie or for a nice stew, would that be OK?

I've known more than a few veggies who could rationalise black-pud into their diet.

I've seen it done on TV documentaries

I don't think the cattle like it the first as time as they have to shoot it in the neck withan arrow, but after then they just stand there looking dozy and chewing while the masai pull the plug and take the blood out.

If you miss black pudding so much, why don't you do a Marc Quinn and take your own blood and store it in the freezer till you have enough? Don't make a sculpture with it, just add oatmeal and vegetable suet.

...now that, madam, is an excellent plan. Thank you.

There's a lot of anti-haggis bias here. Let's face it, haggis is made from the bits even the sheep didn't want.

On a more serious note, and getting back to black pudding, would it be possible to make BP out of human blood? Is it different to pig? Any phlebotomists who used to be vets and are keen chefs on here?

Non-vegetablist haggis is the very nectar of the gods, so too is black pudding. Both are rich, almost sweet and satisfying. Which is also why you cant eat that much of em in one sitting.....................

.....mmmmmmm..........offal puddings............*drools*

the new veggy black pudding, limited distirbution at the moment though

as a Bury lass, that's never tasted black pudding I am intrigued

I saw a cooking programme with that yorkshire chef, summat Turner, (v. traditional), & he was excelling its virtues!
