Vegan ice cream

im keen to try this stuff if it isnt super expensive..

Yer, it is pretty expensive, but no more so that Green & Black's icecream, or Haaaagg'n Daaaaaz.

Why bother, though? Or bother enough to make it a selling point.

Please tell me its not to stop people eating poor little bacteria?

No, I think it's cos it's, like, an alternative to spring water or what-have-you. It's the first ingredient (so there's a lot in there) and they didn't want to just put, like, "water, syrup, nuts" (which is basically what it is).

Vegan deserts are wrong.

Never trust a cake without egg or butter.

As a point of principle, I agree with this; nothing worse tan cake-free-cake, is there. But this was recommended to me, so I tried it, and I liked it.

I *think* I've only had Swedish Glace, which wasn't that bad, but wasn't as delish as really good dairy ice cream. I'll take a look at the Tofutti though :)

I don't like Swedish Glace... well, it's okay in the absence of anything better.

Not vegan, but what's frozen yoghurt like? I've only just started liking yoghurt, and I'm thinking this could be a nice, low-fat alternative to dairy ice cream. Or is it just a little bit pants?

I really like some frozen yoghurts. I especially like the Yeo Valley strawberry one, but cannot find it anywhere anymore.

My problem - I tend to not like frozen desserts unless they contain a rather hefty amount of chocolate. I suppose it's too much to expect a chocolate frozen yoghurt?

Google is my friend: http://www.ocado.com/webshop/getProductDetails.do?sku=30675011&parentContainer=OFFER000117512

*dribble*

The Booja Booja stuff - the chocolate is my favourite.

might sound strange but is it really sweet? i dont really like sweet things and love nuts.

Yes, it's sweet: it's pudding, it's got agave syrup, which is sticky and sweet. It doesn't taste of cashew nuts though.

just eat some nuts then

:D
