^wtf? - how old are those

I can remember Happy Shopper - they were shit

My Mum's was about approx 20 years ago. They had wagons with a slogan on too, "Drive safe Dad" or something like that. Of course only men drove wagons in those days:D

Paul's Choice was about 20 years ago too, although I remember the tin looked like it could have been old at the time, and the spaghetti was rank.

im up for using the no frills/blue and white stripes value/lidl brands etc..:D
if the el cheapo option is available i PROUDLY take it,whistling as i place it in my basket:p
the only thing ive found that was awful is the tesco value tea..it really doesnt taste nice, but its ok if you put orange peel and cinneman in it..but if you have run out it tastes like dirty washing up water.yuckkkkopoo

Value pasta is good. There's not much difference between different brands of dried pasta.

M&S dried egg pasta is lovely. I buy all my pasta from them.

I'll occasionally eat tesco value crisps, or their cookies. But I try to eat less junk food these days.

The Tesco red box teabags are very good and only about a penny a bag.

Thats the thing isn't it.

Most value stuff isn't very good for you :(

Lidl is excellent quality as is Aldi although found Aldi rather pricey the last time I went-seem to be trying to encroach on Waitrose's territory with lots of organic chocolate and their posh pickle about £1.30-very nice though.
My only problem with Lidl is as a veggie, find it hard to do a 'proper' shop there as one of those rubbish veggies who like quorn and processed foods instead of making things from scratch

I love both, but Aldi is nothing like as expensive or poncy as Waitrose. :)
