I'm all for the liberation of desire, an end to alienation and all that other fluffy bollocks. But if you think it's going to happen without some really hard work and a lot of genuinely tragic violence, then you're naive at best.

I think you are misinterpreting this In Bloom.

It is one event, in a non revolutionary situation (that's the objective conditions). However this event is sensuous practical critical politics that sticks one up New Labour, and might, just might, engender new possibilities.

That's when the 'serious' revolutionaries (I've never met one that isn't 'serious') may have a role to play in the popular movement...
