you're comparing a very small festival - one that by its own admission cut back on line-up (and ticket prices) to survive - that charges about a 1/3 per ticket that V does, with a massive corporate venture, on the grounds of two bands picked at random from a very varied, although not "big name" Endorse It! programme.
That's just shallow and mindless. Aside from the massive difference in ticket prices, it fails to take into account atmosphere, fun, freedom (all night entertainment, camp where you want, bring your own beer) and general laidbackness. People don't go to Endorse It solely for the bands, but I can't think of any other reason than the acts that you'd go to V.
You'd be better comparing V to a festival in a similar price range, such as Glastonbury, and then compare the infinitely more varied entertainment, bigger line-up (if that's what you want), absolute freedom of movement and entertainment 24 hours a day for 4 days etc etc etc etc. As well as atmosphere and all the other stuff that people tend to look for in a festival beyond simply a list of big acts on sponsored stages.
Not a criticism of people who go to V and enjoy it - each to their own - but to compare Endorse It with V and then claim V wins by line-up?
Yes, you've missed the point.
