Did any England player actually say that, or anything like that, last time around?
I do think that Capello has the players' feet firmly on the floor. He doesn't give a fuck what the media think or say and has his mind focused purely on the job. He isn't dazzled by Beckham's star as Eriksson was, dazzled by his own star as Hoddle was, or a good honest man totally out of his depth as Keegan, Taylor and MacLaren were.
My head says that it is possible for England to win the World Cup, but there are other sides much more likely to do so (at the moment, Spain definitely appear to be the team to beat).
I love that quote from Capello after he was appointed, something like, why should I listen to the media? Why should I listen to people less intelligent than me?
