Urbs in Scotland - The Meet-Up 2008

When and where for the Urban Scotland meet-up

  • Total voters
    21
  • Poll closed .
That would be Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen then.

Remember that that the Aberdeen airport bus stops long before the last flights leave/arrive.

One obvious big airport not mentioned. Glasgow, Prestwick served by Ryanair.

Prestwick would bring Ayr into the equation as a possible venue.

Trains, Express coaches from Glasgow every half hour.

Ayr? You serious?

Considerably politer than what I was going to write :D Snowball's chance in hell is as polite as I can be.

Bearing in mind we are fairly spread out (Aberdeen - Borders - Glasgow and possibly Skye) I think Edinburgh would seem fairly central :hmm:

Who's for Glasgow.. Who's for The Burrie..

Who can be arsed..

A Jock urban heehaw sometime soon...

I feel a poll comming on.. If thems across the border can meet up in Amsterdam... Whats oor problem.. apart from lethargy...

I'm not an urb in Scotland, but I will be one in August, at least.

If y'all work something out that coordinates with my schedule I'd love to be the transatlantic interloper or something.

edinburgh or glasgow in july seems to be topping the poll just now. that would suit me fine :) (although dundee would be easier for me cos i live there).

I prefer to think of it as just Prestwick. Putting Glasgow in the name has always seemed a bit much.

As for Ayr, personally no objections but it is a bit of a bind to get to for me.

Work's been so shit I forgot I did this thread.

It's looking like Glasgow or Edinburgh in July, and D, we'd love to see you :)

'tis sure would be nice to make this...Edinburgh will be gr8! Defo on our 'to do' list.

Is anyone invited or do u need a special Scots passport like :)

[/boat-happy madnees}

shit?!?!! its on a boat now

***goes off to prepare depth-charged chibb. :hmm: . and ponder the fact that he 'got' U75 'culture' ****

:D
:p
:)

Eh? oh bugger :D I missed this one ... I spend far too long away from urban, months at a time without knowing what's going on these days ...

I voted July/August, Edinburgh. Mainly because I live nearest to there, and there is room here for some people to stay if I tidied it (which could, err, probably be accomplished by July/August :D). Problem is the last train is at 23:21 :-(

Can I double my vote for Edinburgh, seeing as it seems I'm likely to be moving there in the summer?

(good to see you back Velouria!)

Date sooner rather that later please. Lost cost flight get more expensive the longer you wait.
If I do decide to come it would cost me £32 ATM but if we wait too long I may have to defo pass.
