Urban75 allotment - Brixton

Weekends generally aren't that great for me, but will try to get down there one of these days. :)

Anyway I just wanted to know what I would need to bring on Sundays, and are wellies strictly necessary (I don't actually own any at the moment :o )

If you've got any gardening gloves, do bring them, or any gardening tools. No worries if you don't have them, there are usually enough tools/gloves to go around!

As for wellies, they're not necessary, any sturdy shoes or boots will do, it's not that muddy :)

BTW I've tried to rejoin the discussion group but it won't let me, says my application is still pending or something weird like that, so will prolly communicate via this thread for now!

:(

On a brighter note - I am pleased with your new tagline, han :)

Bee - it's weird, I can receive messages, as am on the list, but it won't let me send them to the list

I'm sure I'll get it sorted soon. :)

I LOVE LONG DISTANCE CLARA. I want to BE her.

You can actually get proper prints of her! I want one!

Do you remember the Long Distance Clara song in Pigeon St? It was cool.

I liked the pigeons too.

And the determinedly 2 dimensional animation. King Rollo being another fine example of the style.

Yep the 2-d thing style was very much of the time wasn't it! The way they walked with their arms and legs completely straight was most charming. :D I wonder if Mr. Ben started it?

And ethnically diverse, too. Ahhhh.

Good god! King Rollo! :) Now there's a blast from the past.

You're all very silly!

I have decided to invest in gardening gloves and wellies as I don't really have any shoes I can afford to get muddy, and also if I spend money on the allotment then I will have 'invested' and will have to keep coming and doing the work (weird innit logic, but it works for me!)

Right -see you all at 11am tomorrow. Helen has a chest infection so she will come along to let us in and back out again 2 hours later - so do try and be on time - as I'm not sure how we'd get latecomers in and out?

:)

I'm definitely up for a horticultural skills-sharing. Maybe over half-term? End of feb.

If we could get you down the allotment for a session that'd be FAB!! :)

i'm gonna be late.. gotta go..

Have just popped into the internet cafe to check you're not all too hungover from prod! If I run now I'll just about be on time....
