It's on my list though in 1988 I actually seriously hated the Sugarcubes because my older brother was into them (I was only 13/14).

Hating bands because he liked them did deprive me of some good music (notably mbv and j&mc) that I didn't listen to till much later but on the plus side it's helped me lead a Pink Floyd free life. By the time I gave them a chance I was old enough to know they were shit straight away.

Life's Too Good is high on my submitted list.

Hearing Bjork's vocals on Birthday for the first time blew my young mind.

Idris2002 the liberation forces make movies of their own

Was this when they were still trying to promote the Lemonheads guy as a "hard man of Rock"? (Proof that indiedom was just as formulaic and commercial as the mainstream)

Still six hours or so left to vote!

Just a reminder, you don't have to have voted in any of the other polls to join in this one!

= 20 Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Tender Prey

Shock Number 1: if I hadn't allowed that late vote, a Nick Cave album wouldn't have made it onto the list at all! Not even the one with The Mercy Seat and Deanna on it.
