Urban Ride Out

DJ Bigga

Mentally Dishevelled
Summer's nearly over but I reckon there'e enough time left to fit on a couple of rides before it get's too cold.

So how about it folks? Bunch of Urbanites and their bikes hitting a couple of Londons' scenic cycle routes.

Aitch and I tried the Wandle trail last week and we've just finished the Kingston to Staines today, Either would be suitable but if anyother folks have ideas feel free to chip in.

Dates? Well we were thinking next Sunday.

Any takers?

Really enjoyed today, so count me in :)

edit: oops, I might be out for lunch next Sunday, but will keep my eye on the thread just in case.

edit (take 2): lunch is the sunday after , so I'm free :)

ditto. I haven't had a bike for about a decade.. am loving it too :D , ergo why you saw me midway through my trip to nowhere in particular the other night.. just loving getting about on it.. zipping through traffic and along smooth tarmac... feel like a bit of a kid... sad I know...

I could be up for it as well - assuming my plans for next Sunday fall through!

Will certainly keep an eye on this thread :)

I suggested next Sunday because the summer's running out. If someone wants to propose alternative dates feel free :)

I have the feeling I'm not popular enough to start a thread of this magnatude.

:( :o :D

I'm new on here , but you lot should head up to Epping Forest. Just a stone throw away from Central London. Loads of trails and pubs :-)

You can catch the Central line from Leytonstone to Loughton -> then ride up to High Beech. It takes 5 mins from Loughton.

Good stuff for all levels of riders.

You're allowed bikes on Tubes?

i've always wanted to stick me knobllys on and try the forest. Thing is I n=know quite a few people on here have road bikes and i wouldn't want them to feel excluded.:)

Its well worth it. Are you running slicks at the moment?

I just bought myself a road bike for hacking around town on. Super fast. But not at much fun as my Mtb.
