Urban Green Fair

At least you're (partly!) engaging with what I've written now, rather than your own stuff (apart from the thing about sneering - you seem to have an obsession with the word!).

Ho hum. Says the man who has managed to accuse me of being drunk, "weird" or "deliberately obtuse" in just about every previous post to me and hasn't attempted to address the points I've raised...you can do that whenever you feel like it.

But fair call on the over-use of "sneering". Good word, that. Hard to define accurately, but you know it when you see it.

I dunno what your problem is mate. You seem to have an issue with someone critiquing the green fair and seem be taking it very personally and projecting all sorts of your own shit all over the place!

It's a public forum for discussion and debate. You posted some (rather self-contradictory and meaningless) criticisms of an event that I thought was - in a quiet way - rather impressive.

I said so - and explained why I thought so. Reasonably politely.

You've basically responded with utter bewilderment that anyone's questioned you and some highly defensive (and abusive) posts that have *almost* totally failed to address the points I've raised.

Not sure if you've quite the hang of this internet discussion malarkey.

EG - you think I'm "projecting all sorts of my own shit all over the place". Perhaps you could try explaining where I'm doing this projecting, what I'm projecting etc.

Then I respond etc.

Just calling me drunk, "weird", "deliberately obtuse" or accusing me of projection - it's meaningless. Try and explain why.

You got it into your head that I was "sneering" and dragged in some irrelvant stuff from another thread. You then completely failed to address anything that I had said. That suggests to me that you have some problems.

This is your first post on the thread:
Well that was a bit rubbish. A car hire company, Lambeth Council, TFL, a DVD showing about "international banking conspiracies" (hmmmmmmm, where have I heard that before?), overpriced bread and a lot of hippies.

You don't think that's sneering? You obviously don't like the word pointing at you but it fits reasonably well imo.

...and dragged in some irrelvant stuff from another thread.

Well I've tried about 5 times to explain the relevance of your advocacy of EC but clearly failed so I'll pass on that.

Using "hippy" as a slag-off always seems pretty pointless to me.

But the only reason you've given for knocking the event is that it 'isn't reaching out to the middle ground' - or words to that effect. There's a perfectly reasonably debate to be had about whether or not that is the only valid point of an UGF. But since - in your initial post - you sneered at the fact that there were stalls from - I quote - "A car hire company, Lambeth Council, TFL" - your criticism just doesn't make sense since these are exactly the sort of middle-ground stands that won't frighten anyone away.

Doesn't that seems totally contradictory to you? It does to me.

I've made this point already earlier in the thread, I have tried to address your posts quite directly. You've ignored it and indeed, pretty much everything I've said in favour of astonishment that I've said it.

Re my "problems" and "projection" etc; - tbh since you were the only person who came back on my (non-specific, ie not made directly to or of you) allegation of "teenaged-cynicism" right back at the beginning of the thread - I'm reading this whole exchange as being based on the fact that the cap fitted you. I can't see why else you've been so touchy. Qui accuse, s'accuse.
