Got a link to hear the electronic dancehall stuff?
FACT mix 566: Equiknoxx
Cheers, my Googling skills weren't up to much there
Love that, just ordered the LP
There's more stuff on the Mixes thread as well
Ta, I'll have a look. Its all going on in Jamaica at the moment - new wave of roots artists, experimental dancehall. Its been a long wait for the dry spell to end but looking exciting again.
Sorry man, skint. Too many things coming up soon so it's a weekend in for me
I have to play host to elderly friends of my parents too.
Sssh. Let's take this to the "urban staying in all weekend club" thread
ohh got any pointers to some mixes? esp on the experimental dancehall side

Yep, loving it
New JA roots stuff in the urbanites dj thread
That ace of bass version
The more time passes I reckon eurovision-style euro dance pop has been the biggest musical influence on "western" music in the 21st century....check US and UK dance pop, US rap, rnb, dnb, US EDM, and now even JA Dancehall (not just in that track btw), all have succumbed to the influence of eurovision
Just bought tickets for this: One Night With...Sadar Bahar
Anyone heard him before? I'm ashamed to say that I haven't, but a mate assures me he's a legend? Played at the music box etc.
well this was literally banging. packed, tiny basement full of nutters. awesome
Did anyone from the UCC turn up?
Urban Clubbing Club init

i did randomly bump into a very unlikely guy from my local (which isnt all that near) tho, i think he cdnt quite get his head around it and freaked out and left ha.tho im sure the music wasnt his thing either. i tried to explain it wasnt the kind of night peiple go to pull but he kept trying hmmm.
Earwormed me for the rest of the day
I got the Equicknoxx LP on Saturday. Pretty good but more down tempo tunes, very little in the way of vocals and samples, not nearly as exciting as the mix.
yeah, i agree. was too sparse for me. needed MCs
