Urban 75 Euro 2008 Fantasy Football anyone?

The metro site does appear to be completley fucked.

Shame really as one half of my formidable strike duo, Van Nistlerooy, appears to have scored a dubious goal.
 
Well the first game week is over, and obviously being top of the (official) league by 24 points is fairly good, I had expected to be a lot further on

Yup, I also picked the wrong Swede; Hansson would have got me 12 points, rather than an utterly pointless 0 :(

Not flukey in the slightest! I was determined not to fall for the trap of having Ronaldo in my team, which allowed me to fill my midfield with pure class (other than Schweinsteiger who didn't start). I also didn't fall for the Torres trap just cos he scored for Liverpool - Villa is the one that gets Spain's goals! I spent fucking ages sifting through all the stats on the UEFA qualifying website and now it's paying dividends!!!

With Sneijder, I swapped him last minute for Van Der Vaart.

Did the same with the Germany game, Gomez in for Podolski.

Tinkering doesn't work. :o

You will be aware that SilentManager, the game provider, have been experiencing technical problems with the website over the last few days which has affected the speed of the site.

In order to fix the site we have had to temporarily close the fantasy football game.

The site will be available again at 12pm (Mid-Day) Saturday 14th, June 2008

Yeah ive pretty much given up on that one, gonna stick with the official one instead. Shame mind as I missed out on the first two games, no chance of catching up now.

I've backed Villa to the hilt this afternoon as my captain. Currently sitting third (in the official one), so could hopefully at least manage second if he repeats his performance from the other night.

Fuckin bummer we're all not on the same league tho. The UEFA one is actually pretty good - i guess they use the same software as the premier league one did but its been upgraded in a few ways. Enjoying the 'Head to Head' thing, no idea what the 'Targets' are tho - those stars... ?
 
I fucked up at the beginning thinking you only had three transfers a week :rolleyes:

Read the rules and came back strongly but, too late.
 
A pretty respectable 5th for me, which I'm quite happy given I was pretty much bottom at one point.

Also got to the semis in the head-to-head, but lost out to India :confused: :D
 
I thought it was a good team. Oh well. At least i got most of my match predictions right, i should get some points for that.
