Every time i've been in there it's had less action than pbman's trousersnake, but I've always thought it had huge potential; rigth location with huge potential audience (what with a medical college and an art college in walking distance, and south bank Uni a bus ride away), terrif building, lotsa room, good acoustics, OK staff and the drinks were well-kept. There's other 'style' bars in SE5 without a fraction of the Red Star's potential which pack 'em in (funky munky, cube).
The legendary arches vibe in a 'proper' venue! yaaay!
However, i can see one small potential hiccup.....sus, check PMs
