"Unregistered" drivers

Although don't the police sometimes do busts?
That's happened a few times on Mare St in Hackney and anyone without tax/insurance gets their car confiscated on the spot. There would always be a couple of car transporters full up with cars on either side of the street.

Aye... I saw that! Most amusing! The Bently on one of them was the best bit!

But the other side was my mate got pulled on his Cagiva motorbike, his mot had run out ( un benown to him on the day) so invalidating his insurance. Bike gets impounded, off to the car pound next to city airport. We go a few days later to release bike but can`t get it released without getting an mot booked and re-issuing of insurance docs. He was told they would not destroy the bike as he proof of ownership etc etc. But he works away from the UK as a job and had to go away for the next day for 10 days ...

Comes back...bike crushed..!! His daily transport round town.....

(actually the best bit was the compound office out at City Airport...the riots going on in there were priceless! The cops were called out in riot gear to restrain the " I want my feckin` car back " types or the ones trying to crop the gates to get their motor back! It was great entertainment for an hour or so!)

Angola can claim what the fuck it wants. Ever tried to book a hotel there? Next to impossible - Google will offer up a few with phone numbers that don't work, the Angolan embassy in London will shrug their shoulders, even British Airways' webshite can't help and BA flies to Luanda!

Too much demand for the hotels.... they need more... I agree, getting a room in Luanda is a 'mare....

Yes but in third world/poor countries the driving test consists of nothing more than driving forward in a straight line for a few metres then reversing back, then hey presto test passed, the licence is hardly worth the paper its written on......

Since when has the United States of America been a "third world/poor country"?
