This is why I'm now glad I got an hourly-based role, which pays me for the time I come in, and any extra time that I spend there. Still, management is as fucked in the head as they've ever been and there's no getting away from that one.

If it merely for those on a probationary period then it's dodgey if however its for all staff regardless of your probationary period i'd suggest you talk to your union rep this looks like a 'fundemental change in working practice' however they won't be able to help you until you have been a member for 6 weeks so get joining now.
