University Challenge just got a question wrong

Similarly, a quiz on my local radio station asked who is Luke Skywalker's father? The contestant said Anakin Skywalker and the DJ said wrong, it's Darth Vader!!! Most annoying.

He fathered Luke before his taking up of the famouse name and helmet.

The radio quiz had it well wrong.

The questions on that episode were a little trickier than usual I thought. I got about five fewer right than I normally do.

Definitely the Man From Uncle. Similar style but lacking the main melody. Jerry Goldsmith was never the most original composer.

Hehe - I was watching it with a mate and we were all smug, going 'mission impossible innit' and nearly fell off our chairs when Paxman said it was MFU :D

Glad it wasn't just us who were utterly convinced they'd got it wrong :o

I once lost out on a £100 pub quiz prize because of the morons running the event. "What god is Wednesday named after?" they asked. I said 'Woden', they said that was wrong and it was 'Odin'. Then they lost half our answers, only found the bit of paper after the 'winning' team had buggered off with the money.

They offered us free admission to next week's quiz, I told the organiser to kiss my ring and sashayed off the premises.

who wants to be a millionnaire got a question wrong, it was in one of the first episodes - a man incorrectly guessed 'chat' for 'what is the word for dog in french' IIRC (or it was the other way round: he guessed 'dog' for 'what is the meaning of 'chat' in french') - buit that twat Tarrant said it was correct

The latest PC Gamer describes Sam & Max (a detective partnership of a dog and a rabbit) as a Chat et Chien. I think I should be paid to proofread all magazines.
