Hi everyone. Was wondering about universal credit and sick leave as I'm considering asking my GP to sign me off work but I'm hesitating as I don't know how this will effect my universal credit and my ability to support my family.
I'm entitled to a months paid sick leave so I don't think there'll be any trouble with deductions during that period (may be wrong) but after that time, will they sanction me? What happens if I get statutory sick pay, will they make up the rest of my UC award? Will I have to do a work capability assessment? Anyone have any experience or insight?
