Unite First Executive Council Elections: Anyone heard of any of these people?

GMB. We don't even have a bloody Broad Left.

But those which hold power (especially in the T&G) didn't cover themselves in glory during the Labour leadership election last year.

Agreed. I fought long and hard for John McDonnell; lobbying on his behalf in Parliament; as well as travelling around the country in an attempt to muster support. The T&G BL did actually endorse John McDonnell's campaign in a meeting in Birmingham in February 2007; however, the GEC BL supporters bottled out when it came to the executive council.

This kind of thing musnt be allowed to happen again.

T&G 35 to 40
Amicus 23 to 40

Is there an argument here for a T&G chair instead of Steve Davison (which seems to be the pre arrangement)??

For all you Rob Williams fans out there

In Region 4 32'270 ballot forms were sent out

4334 were returned

Pat Oliver got 2'593 votes

Rob got 1'727

Aside from being Simpsons pawn, I've heard Davison does not have the intellectual rigour to actually Chair meetings of such magnitude.

anyone got a full set of the T&G section results - the link on dearunite only seems to include the territorial & transport reps

ta, one might have thought the national union site would list such things, but no, I mean, why should members be interested in who there representatives are??!!
