My assumption rest in the fact that we were all once children, and liked stuff that would appall us today. Generally speaking is Bone M cheesy, or the pinnacle of musical excellence.

I don't give too much of a shit what people like in music most of the time, but there are limits!!!!
Re. Girls Aloud, I profess my love of them whenever I can, to which a lot of people say "I bet you do, nudge-nudge, wink-wink, say no more". Now I actually love them for their music (they're attractive girls but I don't fancy any of them per se), but I'm afraid my status as a 23 year old, white, heterosexual male prevents them from accepting that.
I'm also wary of my love of hip hop coming over Westwood-ian. Don't get me wrong, I find him amusing and like a lot of what he plays, but I guess I adopt the John Peel mantra of not alligning myself to one exact genre. The aforementioned Girls Aloud nestle right next to Ghostface Killah in my alphabeticised CD collection, and McFly next to the MC5.
