Ultimate Dancefloor Tune

In all your time, what was the track that absolutely dragged you up to dance? No coolness prizes. Doesn't matter whether it was dirty techo or Abba, what did it for you? Or "does it", if you're still dancing :)

Mine, for starters: Well, has to be Faithless Insomnia. Why? A near religious thing, for someone who isn't religious at all. Those pizzicatto strings... hands in the air... and, err, some cheeky halves... good times. Praise to the lord Rollo. :)

oooh there was an old tune on ffrr i think.....

.... ....,cant remember the name.

strings and talking?????

Bollocks I will post it when I remember.

There were alot of good tunes on FFRR...

... more clues, please!

Faithless, Insomnia again.

Outer space (Prodigy) - or various other ones.

That one by DJ Marky from approx 2001 (without the shitty MCing).

In retrospect there are tunes which anyone might think were great at the time but turn out to be cheesy as shite .. which is ok as long as they don't turn out to be toilet as well. The Faithless Insomnia tune is a diabolical wrongun. Millions of peaceful folks get all incorrect and irate when they hear that tune.
I myself was knocked out with a single kick to the back of my neck by my own probation officer at an Xmas party for the homeless. I heard him boasting about it to the community service superviser and the crackers lady who lived in the flat I renovated every saturday. They were watching the wrestling and hollering at the tv while I prepared the buffet and if the Insomnia tune came on the tv while they were all irate then one of them would trip me and they would knock me unconscious and the lady would caress my unaroused manhood and laugh. I fucking think Faithless are violent criminals and copper's narks. They better never turn up in Retford again and that's all I'm saying.
I don't live in Retford nor would I.

A similar thing happened to me once in Sunday School but the tune was 'When a Child is Born' by Johnny Mathis.

Phil Collins - 'Against All Odds (Take A look At Me Now)'. ;)

But surely only for the bit that goes:

*Bum-dum-dum...babbadumdumdum*

Oh and, rather than contributing anything useful to this thread, I would just like to echo Rory's sentiments:

The second I hear that mumbling fuckhead wibbling on about "Tearin' off tights wiv ma teef"
I can do nothing but run from the dancefloor has fast as my little legs will take me and embark on a random killing spree.

Drosssssssss of the highest order

Well I think that fecking Wipperberg record out to be trodden on by the shoe of god, who will then use the hanky of time to erase its foul shittiness from between the grooves of the sole of reality forever. I got sick of hearing it every time I went out back in 97, and it sounded cheesy as cheese can be even then! argh!

Far to many over far to many years to just list 1 but if we are talking tunes I probably have danced to the most I reckon the two below have to be up there.

Felix Don't you want me
Smoking Jo Androncius make U whole

Both from my trade days :)

On a more constructive note, from 1994:

XVX III - Montevideo

from 97:

Choci and Jonesy: Transformed (with that sample of the bunny girl singing from the earlier classic Transform 12" that came out over here on Rising High, but with tons and tons and tons of fiery flaming acid over the top).

and

The Rabbit's Name Was... 303 madness from the days when SUAF were still fresh.

Ah, come on. That Aha tune is a guarunteed "dance around singing like a loon" one. :D

Hardfloor - Acperience, another goodie - would still do the business now.
