ugly betty - what's wrong with her teeth?

My daughter's horrified at the prospect of wearing braces (if she needs to); she already got called Ugly Betty at school just for wearing glasses.

. Besides, not that I watch it, but Betty isn't ugly at all!

I had those clear braces, which was great until I ate my first curry.

Wry and I love Ugly Betty, altho I generally watch it for the bots with Mark and Amanda...much like Will & Grace, the two funniest characters are supporting roles...

And I wouldn't say she's ugly "in character", either. I guess that's American TV - heaven's forbid casting someone who might actually be... "appearance impaired" to portrait someone ugly.

As has been mentioned, it was oringally a telenovela on Colombian TV, and the title is in fact a play on the whole notion that she's not 'ugly'...
