...and they really, really stink. They're intended to get your feet warm between beach and home, not for wearing all day. I was in a meeting with 2 women wearing Uggs yesterday and the whole room smelled of sweaty sheep.

ok - my objection to uggs - they make you look like you have elephant ankles, and they offer no support of the footbed.

Mine as well, if you don't have the perfect gait, you soon end-up with them slumped round your ankles & it makes your walking look like you have a particularly nasty deformity.

Maybe originally in Aus but here, they owe it all to New Labour. Uggs, thick tights & a shortish skirt seemed to be part of the unofficial uniform for Tony's army of PR girls in the run-up to his first election, back in the 90s.

It was one particular lass that the press picked-up on but TBH, she was one of the few who looked good in them.
