So I went there and, save for seeing my friend, it was horrendous.
One evening I went for a walk in downtown Abu Dhabi and fainted out of the heat/humidity thing. When I came round there were a whole bunch of Indian dudes looking after me and then later that night things got even stranger when I started vomiting blood and so on - I'm pretty sure because of the heat.
It's a truly brutal climate.
