How did My Name is Earl get there? It's way too recent to judge now. I only saw one episode and it was so-so.

And why the fuck isn't I'm Alan Partridge in the final. That is the funniest by a long chalk.

And Scrubs? SCRUBS? DO ME A FAVOUR!

Where the fuck is Shameless??

Well I find this all a bit limited

Phoenix Nights it has to be then but I'm really not happy about their being no Shameless.

Peter kay

I am warming to My Name is earl but I havent seen enough of it :o

Just in case anyone didn't hear me the first time:

  • Phoenix Nights is warm donkey diarrhea.
  • Peter Kay is not very funny.

Isn't up north great! Do you remember those sweets from the 80s?! Weren't they great!

The League of Gentlemen isn't new enough to be on the poll, sadly.

The Thick Of It wins out of that lot, Armando Iannucci at his cynical, straight-faced best and Chris Langham and Peter Capaldi playing their parts with devilish aplomb.

"Come the fuck in or fuck the fuck off." :)

However Curb Your Enthusiasm beats all of those listed, but maybe it's understandable that people might not have seen it as terrestrial TV channels seem to have a vendetta against anything Larry David is involved in.

Close thing between Black Books, Scrubs, and Earl for me. Earl's too new though, so that's out imo. Can't decide out of those two, but Scrubs needed my vote more.

Ah yes that was the line that got me hooked. I think this is the only TV show I have actualy tuned in to watch in the last couple of years. If I had sky I would make time for new battlestar galactica but I don't so 'in the thick of it' is it.

I did actually sit through most of the first series because my ex girlfriend liked it.

It was, as ATOMIC SUPLEX says, shit.

Well I Like it

Different strokes.

I still want to know why it wasn't included in the poll?

In fact reading of the thread title

Comedy of the millenium??

Which fucking millennium?

Reasons please.
Er? I didn't like it, it's boring?

I also hate it's channel 4ness, that sort of 'hey check out the poor and disfunctional you middle classes, they are like really funny and stuff'.

1997. I'd have voted for it it it was there though.

Bollocks I'm going for Malcolm... ain't seen Boosh, only saw a couple of Black Books (I know I know) Kay is funny but I've seen too much. Darth wotsit was good. Malcolm is still excellent even up to series 7 or whatever.
