Soz, been a mad rush day, but I'm still the only one I think it's a great idea to combine the two events, cos it makes it more likely lots of folk will turn up. The pie-makers have an audience and the mashers get lovely pies to judge. And we all get to visit Hamster Mansions and see the bright new gleaming stove.

Thing is ...

Will Bristol/SW let us Londonites visit without thinking we're greckles or ommets?

And can we weave in a visit to pieminster?

Nope, I was suggesting that it could be combined with the mash-up, since that's only four days after January and will be a time when Urbanites are coming to Bristol anyway. But I'm not fussed...

the trouble for me is that i'm not going to have time or space to do both at the same time.

I think I hadn't fully understood the enormity of the pie challenge!

(Either that or krs is planning on getting very mashed for the mash-up! )

well, for the mash-up there will no doubt be people staying here. now, on top of having bodies sleeping all over the shop, keeping them entertained, fed and watered, i would also have to bake my pies, and no doubt there would be others cooking their pies... i don't have much space as it is, but putting two events together isn't the best from my point of view.

we can still do social stuff with pie challengers in january, but bearing in mind not all the pie challengers will necessarily want to do the mash-up, nor mash-uppers the pie challenge...
