U75 clan moves server & now serving BF2 & DoD

As of tonight, there will be:

CSS - 40 Slot Public Server - NEW IP ADDRESS - WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW ASAP. It will be posted on the front page.

FLEX - 16 Slot Clan Server - Public most of the time. Can change between any game, including DoD Source. Will be used for clan matches.

BF2 - 24 Player public clan server.

Donations. We expect everyone to do what they have always done. Donate between $5.00 (Skint) and $20.00 (Flushed) a month.

Please do not worry too much about whether there is enough money. That's my job!

This is a 3 month trial. If it turns into a disaster, we'll revert back to just the 40 slot CSS server.

BF2 admins required. Please step forward if you have a copy of BF2 and would like to admin the server. You need to be technical, because this crazy bastard, doesn't have a copy of BF2, so once you are in game, you're on your own.

Yup. I and a few others have long wanted the clan to move beyond just playing CS (although that was a good access point) and to host other games. What i'd like to see in time is us having crews within the clan that play RTS games, racing games/other genres as well as our staple FPSers. That would be

New server address!

The new server went live today; it can run CounterStrike Source, Day of Defeat and Battlefield 2 simultaneously so now there are two more great reasons to join us for a killing spree!

We can also run other games should members want (Dawn of War might be an idea to have on there) and play every night at 9pm and on Sundays from 5pm. All clan members have VIP status which means if you log on and the server is full a non member will be bumped off to make space for you guaranteeing you always get a game.

Sure, we could do with getting hooked up on a voice comms too, Skype or teamspeak.

If you are going to use it as a telephone you do, if you are just going to to use it as a voice comms with other skype users, then it's free.

Not sure how many others still play that (hasn't Dawn of War stolen its thunder as being an accessable RTS?) but you could ask on the clan forums and see what people say.

Quick update; due to most people either not having the specs to play properly or having the full game the u75 clan demo server has now been switched off. We're discussing what else we might want to try out next and i'll post up any changes.

There is a BF2 server served by the u75 clan for full BF2 cliantes. this is Layabouts message on the clan boards (sorry if that is anoying someone, in that case pm me and i'll change the post), where there is also a forum about the game.
