Think they're shite myself - its the dance stuff in the 90s that pissed me off most. couldnt believe my ears, never been so offended, and i'm sure the DJs who played the record out didnt really like it that much either. And the crowd were pilled up as well, and remember that pills were a lot better back then so they were obviously gonna dance to it. "...Even better than the real thing!'" - Not quite, not as good as say 'Dub War' or 'May the funk be with you' or 'Hideaway' to name just a few of the 99.9% of dance tracks that were better than any crap D:Ream style U2 dance tune

Thinking about it the Batamn tune was one of the only songs theyve ever done that sounded a but different to their usual stuff

This thread does make kind of nostalgic for the 80s. In Ireland then there was a feeling of a 'voice of their generation' thing going on with U2. I've been thinking of getting Boy and War again - I used to love those albums when I was 14/15.

But anyone who's still a fan - well, it's like being a fan of a multinational corporation, innit?
