A saw a few bits of 'The Claw' being carted around Sheffield at the weekend in preparation for this Thursdays nonsense.
I think the gay bassist has the most credibility
i mean, if I ran a music mag and a journalist ever said anything positive about U2 - a band who have never recorded a nanosecond of music that wasn't pompous, risible dross - they would have to be sacked immediately. They would have demonstrated a lack of all the skills to do their job properly.

seen them in the diff this week carting bits about
Ah hear teh chilren cryin'. It's a lesson in leaden abject futility.Listen to 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, an early single (pre the abortion that was Boy) on CBS Ireland. Produced by Martin Hannett.
I think liking U2 is the taste-in-music equivalent of being a racist. You can think somebody knows what's what, and then they reveal a liking for U2, and you quite simply can't associate with them anymore.

Now that you mention it, it's taken me nearly 30 years to realise this is an abominably poor stab at a Joy Division rip off.Listen to 11 O'Clock Tick Tock, an early single (pre the abortion that was Boy) on CBS Ireland. Produced by Martin Hannett.
Apart from that....
Millenium Stadium gigs in the same year.
REM - £55
U2 - £80
U2 have got a flipping cheek asking fans to donate extra money to charity when they price their gigs so high. Drop your gig price to match how much REM charge and I might consider giving a fiver to charity but whilst you charge £25 more I'll keep my 50p you money grubbing cunts.
