Twenty20 world cup

If I was an England fan, I'd be seriously worried about the Ashes. I know the 20/20 is completely different to Test cricket, but they just aren't performing well enough generally to beat Australia IMO. Mind you, Australia have definitely got some weaknesses, so hopefully it'll make for a really tight contest. Symonds leaving won't affect the Aussies much as he wasn't in the test squad anyway, but its the lack of decent spinners which might be their downfall. I reckon they'll win 3-1 though. I'd love to see New Zealand winning the 20/20 cup and with Vettori and McCullum they've got a decent chance.

I thought their last series was decent enough, although the Windies barely turned up.

Nz/scotland delayed due to rain, latest they can start is 12:30and that would be 5 overs aside, lol. Where's all the sun gone? Why is it the cricket always brings the rain back?!?! :D

Why the fuck they cant be more flexible i dont know. If they started at 1230 and played 20/20 there would still be plenty of time for the sceomd game!

Cause there's a 3rd game on today, but that's at trent bridge,so I know, its a bit stupid that they can't make more time. Will these idiots who run cricket ever get it right?

Blimey, the Windies are having fun with the Australians. It's amazing the difference that actually being arsed can make. It's like they've flicked the concentration switch on after sulking throughout the last series.

They beat England in the Windies, didn't they?

They simply have been in the right frame of mind for the immediate return match in England. Players didn't want to be there, feeling stitched up by the board, didn't receive any ranking points for their individual performances and lost out on some IPL riches. It was a sulky protest tour at best

Not in the one day series.:)We had all sorts of problems over there to, what goes around comes around i guess.

Christ on a bike, the west indies didnt fuck around did they. What a display of 20/20 from them.Still its early days yet and it really is just a warm up for us for the tests innit.Fair play to the W I team though, they have some wonderful players.Good win

Twenty20 is ridiculous isn't it? Nothing to do with cricketing nous, strategy, craftsmanship or cunning. Everything to do with luck and random slogging.

Still, it was incredibly enjoyable watching Chris Gayle take the piss out of Australia like that :)
