TV shows worth resurrecting

Automan.

I also had a wierd desire to see moonlighting again after watching the 'that yellow bastard' episode on the sin city special edition this morning.

I think Automan is out on DvD now. Can get it here along with a host of other oddball TV shows.

some new Sapphire and Steel for me please. Have all 3 series of Survivors on DVD and v good it is as well, although pretty uncomfortable watching at times as seems very plausible

Thank goodness for DVD's, have finally been able to get most of the programmes I loved when I was younger, including Edge of Darkness, Survivors, Robin Hood (but just the Michael Praed ones!), Sapphire and Steel( which is still v  ) and Tripods

The Avengers should be given a 21st Century Russell T Davies makeover just like Doctor Who, although I'd settle for the DVDs of the original series being made available in the UK again at some point in the near future.

haha awesome, u got their number? :p ;)

Yes, but I don't think he will be making any more and he doesn't work for LWT anymore either.

I love the '?' on the end of the strange but true, so what it really says is strange, but is it actualy true? More oftern than not I think not.

how about Knightmare, itv's dungeons and dragons style roleplaying gameshow. used to be cult college viewing

Catweazle.

Geoffrey Bayldon is still alive and doesn't look noticably different, and the original conceit of the show still has relevance, and Catweazle was a wonderful character.

Same here! Plus The Life and loves of a She-Devil. Really wanting A Very Peculiar Practice next I think, and have been loving the Beiderbecke Affair on ITV3 or 4 whatever. I watch Edge of Darkness once a year, absolutely breathtaking still.

Howards' Way can be seen on UK Drama, I watched the first series (then and now). Awful. Truly awful.

Anyone remeber Maelstrom? Scandi/UK drama, and the only other thing Susan Gilmore was in, along with the Dallas-style boating drama.

*jumping up and down in excitement*

Due South's back? When? I love that show. I love the mountie and I love Diefenbacher (?). :o :D

Can't be arsed to read thread so need to know when it's on please

Too true. Not sure if I ever found out what happened at the end or whether the last episode was even aired :(

Although i can't fully remember but I think it might have finisnhed with him being blown up?....

That's considerably less than he deserves, whining twat.

I'd like to see Rentaghost again. And GBH, but for different reasons obviously.

i'd like to see the mysterious cities of gold repeated, if only to find out if it's as good as i remember.

when was grange hill last done? we're probably due a new series by now...

Joe Pasquale has written a musical of Rentaghost.

Does anyone remember Man'O'Man and Gladiators...it was always a tough call between them and Noel's House Party when I was a kid :o

Yeah and did they actually ever find the mysterious cities of gold? They were looking for it for ages.

Grange Hill is still going, though they've moved filming to Liverpool (the Mersey TV set where they do Hollyoaks and formerly Brookside) and it's supposed to be set in some non-descript urban area. I belive there's plans afoot for a Grange Hill movie.

It seems that Monkey's being remade, according to a article in The Times, & a British Broadcaster is intrested in buying it.... :D
Grimley

  • Airwolf - shite plot, shite effects, and a shite fourth series made up from footage from the first, cos they couldn't afford any more flights. Still, it's got helicopters in, and that's all that matters.
I only discovered recently that they (they? THEY :hmm: ) already did remake it, or at least blood transfused it and kept it going via life support well past its terminal decline, with production relocated to Canada, copious recycling of old FX shots, and replacing J-MV with Dick Van Dyke's son
