tune identification

Can't listen to your link hon - no soundcard at work... but a quick search has come up with Killing Moon by Echo & the Bunnymen (not seen the ad so not sure if that's right)

Thanks Bee but it's not that one. It must be a different trailer because I know that song, and the music used on this one is definitely sung by a woman.:(

Thanks for looking for me though.:)

I almost loved you forever then too. ;)

If you hear it again, dial 2580 on your mobile (just remember, "down the middle" of your keypad) and leave the line open.

In about 20 seconds the call will end automatically and you will be sent a text telling you what the tune is.

9p for the call. 50p for the text if it recognises the tune - which it always seems to, if there isn't too much background noise.

Genius! Thanks! I really didn't think it would work as there is loads of talking in the advert but it got it right! :)

i tried to test this with 2580 on my mobile and it didn't recognise the number. is it provider-dependent? :(

Don't think so, no. Name of the company's shazam (?sp) if you want to check, but I'm pretty sure it should work on any phones. Apart from shonky discontinued models got off "geezas" in pubs, natch. *looks questioningly at dub* I've tried it a few times - doesn't always work with some of the newer dance tunes, but it's still pretty impressive stuff.

Doesn't work if you try humming the tune into the phone, though! :p

btw there was an article in today's metro about a website where you can tap in the rhythm of a tune on your keyboard and it'll have a stab at telling what the tune is, or might be. Might be worth looking into. Maybe.

Oh sorry! :) it was All I Ever Need by Speedometer.

Never heard of em before, but been listening to their other stuff now and it's pretty good!

Kind of jazzy/r&b/souly stuff. :)

you just made that up didn't you?

you just want Dub to look like an idiot at work, tapping out madonna tunes on his keyboard.

you're mean. :(

Speedometer, eh?

-I'd never have guessed it was them just by watching that trailer.

I remember them being a lot funkier, and much rawer. ( )
