1. Self scan checkouts have, as someone has pointed out, a system whereby anything in the bag on the 'paid' side of the scanner won't allow you to finish the transaction. There's a block of 4 at Ladbroke grove Sainsbury and TBH I prefer them so long as other customers know what they're doing and don't take the piss with trolleyloads on basket only tills

2. Razor blades get nicked because they're small and easy to conceal and have a good resell value as stolen goods.

3. This thread is really, really funny, especially as Brixtongirl has given enough information about herself (manager, worked on the opening phase at Sainsbury Brixton) to allow someone from Sainsbury to work out who she is...
