Trouser Crisis.

looks good El Jefe - definitely going to be the easiest thing to get on and off too.

i look pale and pasty cos I don't get to go out.

how fucking sexy is that!!!!!!

Yeah, it's looks alright.

In case anyone's thinking 'wtf's he wearing that for' the visible metalwork sort of explains it anyhow.

yeah exactly. The 'just fucking ask me, go on ' expression helps with that too

Actually, yeah, that works.

Try and look slightly more fierce, though ;)

I reckon that, if someone's up for a spot of adjusting, I'd go for getting the kilt to be just about on the knee - so maybe 4 or 5 cm shorter. For complete coolness.

And the fabric's probably a bit heavy for wundaweb, so it's going to need a proper hemming job. A lot of small drycleaners do that kind of thing.

I think it looks good.

I was thinking something like these so you can undo them all the way down one leg:

But the utility kilt is better.

I really like it (still think you need some leopard print on yer sporran :D)

And is that a Leia Bell print on the wall?

think i can pull it off thought? It's quite a bold look, and i'm not that bold really

I've got a utility kilt. I was looking forward to wearing it to glastonbury. Now you and your leg will steal the brixton utility kilt guy thunder.

OK fuck it - they have a full returns policy, so i just pressed "buy".

if i look like a cunt, i'm blaming you lot

you won't - but you have to be confident (nearly said you have to have the bollocks)

truth to tell, i've always wanted a kilt but felt cowed by how ostentatioius they are. Now's my chance to shine. I think it'll suit a quiff and biker boots :)

£150! That would buy me a lot of jeans.

agreed and nice jeans are great but I so wish men would have the confidence to wear what they need to and not what convention dictates and everyone wears jeans

:)

i've got till Monday to send it back

that looks amazing - know what you mean about the legnth thought

It's great. I know it was really expensive but you could get PieFace or Tanky to take it up half an inch so it doesn't hang over your brace. You can always take it down again when the brace is off.

kind of difficult to sew a hem on the number of pleats, but that is long by kilt standards -

It looks fab,

So do I. Cool as feck.

Turn it up a couple of times at the waist if it's a bit long (it works, trust me - I have years of experience of school uniform kilts!)

Yes, why didn't I think of that. Leave home, get to bus stop then roll up skirt. :D

it looks awesome  tbh you'd suit it brace or no brace :)

you have the physique for it :)

aw :o

i just did a night in brixton pissed and i think i pulled it off. There's a LOT to gather when you go for a piss though :D

I think you look fab and don't think it needs hemming at all. I don't think hemming would would make the brace well...less there IYSWIM.

I'm loving the pockets. When you out training for Glasto you can be totally unemcumbered and keep your wallet/keys in them. Might even take a newspaper and a pint of milk.

:)
